Danny Lee Walls, resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia, entered his eternal rest on July 18, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on August 22, 1943, in Accoville, West Virginia, to the late Freeman Winston Walls and Ruth Dotson Walls. Danny played baseball at Boone High School and graduated in 1961. He remained a baseball fan throughout his life and avidly supported the Atlanta Braves. Upon graduation, Danny joined the Air Force and served his country as a Morse Code Intercept Operator until his medical retirement. On June 30, 1963, he married the love of his life, Sharon Rose McIntyre, and they recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. After suffering a stroke in 1998, he discovered a passion for baking and delighted family and friends with his homemade cookies, pies, and cakes. Danny touched many lives with his warmth and generosity and was a faithful, active member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Snellville for 14 years. Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Cebert Winston Walls and Jackie Jo Walls. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Walls; his four children and their spouses, Lori Walls Nilson, David & Donna Walls, Eric & Kristin Walls, Danny R. & Christy Walls; grandchildren and their spouses, Corban (Sandy) and Carter, Heather (Jonathan), Hallie (Robert), Marissa (Brandon), Meranda, Emily, Jennifer, Harlee and Hunter, Kylie (Robert), Megan and Caleb, Hannah and Jonah (Kaylea); 21 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild expected this October. A memorial service to celebrate and honor Danny's life will be held 1 o'clock, Saturday, August 9, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Snellville, with Pastor Scott Crow officiating. Burial at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton will take place at a later date this fall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 15 25 Scenic Hwy.
