Danny W. Crews, Jr., age 71, of Covington, died May 12, 2023. He was a member of Gospel Mission Church in Covington. Danny enjoyed riding his motorcycle; pulling pranks (especially when he was young); watching NASCAR races, LSU football games and the Atlanta Braves. He attended Lithonia High School and was a brick mason by trade, working for Pyramid Masonry for many years. Danny was preceded in death by his father, Daniel W. Crews; sister, Linda Crews Bailey and nephew, Terry Merritt. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Bobbi Crews of Covington; mother, Hortence Anderson of Conyers; sister, Brenda Crews Merritt and her husband, Jeff, of Lithonia; brother, Jimmy Crews and his wife, Robin, of Covington; step-daughters, Michelle Anuszczyk and her husband, Carl, of Duluth, and Melissa Hyde and her husband, Roland, of Conyers; step-son, Thomas David Smith of Covington; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, May 17, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Pastor Wayne Whitley officiating. Interment will follow at Lithonia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday Evening from 6 to 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
