Mark Mann, age 60, of Lithonia, Georgia, died on December 25, 2023. Born on August 27, 1963, Mark was a man of many talents and passions. He was known for his creative abilities, particularly when it came to restoring cars and tractors. His love for nature was evident in the beautiful garden he maintained and his farming endeavors. Strong in his faith, Mark served as a Sunday School teacher and choir member at Philadelphia Baptist Church for many years and was currently a member at Glen Haven Baptist Church in McDonough. His family was the center of his universe, with his grandchildren holding a special place in his heart. Despite his many interests and hobbies, nothing compared to the joy he felt when spending time with his loved ones.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Mack Mann, and father-in-law, Lamar Gilbert. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Amanda Gilbert Mann; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca & Kyle Bell of Thomaston; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher & Celia Mann of Madison; mother, Joyce Carroll of Buford; mother-in-law, Anne Gilbert of Lithonia; sister, Tracy Mann of Melbourne, FL; brothers and sister-in-law, Steve Mann of Atlanta, Scott & Cassie Mann of Lawrenceville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen and Shannon Gilbert; grandsons, Kade and Stetson Bell; niece, Kory Mann; nephew, Jonathan Mann; and a host of friends.
A funeral service to honor Mark's life will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, December 29, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Lithonia with Pastor Brady Howard and Pastor Robert Lindsay officiating and interment following in Philadelphia Baptist Cemetery in Lithonia. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Glen Haven Baptist Church or First Baptist Church of Lithonia.
