Cynthia Franklin

Cynthia Kay "Cindy" Franklin, age 61, of Lithonia, Georgia, died on August 9, 2023. Her life was a testament to her strong relationship with the Lord- one of compassion, dedication, and love for others. Cindy honorably served her country in the United States Air Force for 4 years and her community as a bus driver for the DeKalb County School System for 20+ years before her recent retirement. Her love was boundless, and she cared for her family and friends with an open heart and warm hands. She was known for her wisdom and organizational skills, traits she applied both in her work and her personal life. Cindy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy Franklin; daughter, Kaylee Franklin; sons, Jimmy, Jr., Bryan & Jarrett Franklin; and her grandchildren. A graveside service to honor Cindy's life will be held 2:30 PM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at Georgia National Cemetery, 101 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA 30114. The family will receive friends at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church St., Lithonia, GA 30058, on Monday from 11AM-Noon.
