Claude Barry Fisher, age 78, of Good Hope, died May 16, 2022. He was born in Waynesville, NC, to William and Annie Fisher. After graduating from high school, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy. Claude worked as a police officer in Anderson, SC before moving to Georgia where he met and married Barbara Blackwell. They attended Salem Baptist Church for several years. He enjoyed reading the Bible, watching football games, gardening, working in his shop building birdhouses, and spending time with his son, Ramon. Claude and Barbara were also truck drivers for many years. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a kind man with a big heart. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Barbara Fisher; sons, Scott Blackwell of Madison and Ramon Blackwell of Good Hope; daughters, Brenda Flannery and her husband, Lee, of Oxford, Regina Reid and her husband, Jody, of Oxford and Lisa Flanigan and her husband, Henry, of Covington; 14 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, May 20, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The interment will follow at Carter Memorial Cemetery in Loganville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
