Clara Mae Moore, 91, of Lithonia, died May 28, 2020. Born and raised in the town she loved, Clara Mae was a 1948 graduate of Lithonia High School. A homemaker, she made many garments for family and friends along with a quilt for each of her grandchildren. She was a life-long member of Union Grove Baptist Church and took great pride in overseeing the Wilson Cemetery located at East Lithonia Baptist Church, which was located on property owned by her ancestors. Clara Mae was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Patterson and is survived by husband of 70 years, Carl "Red" Moore; sons and daughters-in-law, Walter and Joan Moore of Mableton and Carl and Denise Moore of Conyers; sister, Peggy DeVore of Alpharetta; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Shirley Wilson of Snellville; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. There will no public visitation and a private graveside service will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, May 31, at East Lithonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tim Chupp will officiate.
