Service: 7 o'clock, Friday, October 27, 2017 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: 30 minutes prior to the service and 30 minutes after the service Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Christopher "Chris" Mitchell, age 32, of Stockbridge, died October 19, 2017. He was a 2005 graduate of Stockbridge High School and was self-employed as a plumber. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Valarie Mitchell. Surviving are his brother, James Pitman of Covington; sister, Kimberly Thornton of Covington; grandmothers, Mary K. Mitchell of Covington, and Diane Mitchell of Stockbridge; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held 7 o'clock, Friday, October 27, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service and 30 minutes after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in his memory to one's favorite charity.
