Christopher Judson Ballard – 09/14/1965 – 05/18/2025
Born on September 14, 1965, in Raleigh, NC, he was the son of Charlotte Ballard and the late Chalmers Dixon Ballard, Jr. Chris began his real estate career in 1989 in the Atlanta, GA market. He opened his first CENTURY 21 office in 1994, with eight agents, and quickly became the number one CENTURY 21 firm in the Southeast for nine consecutive years. As one of the top Realtors in Georgia and Realtor of the Year, Chris mentored many agents to become leaders in their field. Chris was a President of the DeKalb Board of Realtors and was active in Realtor legislation through RPAC in both the Georgia and on a federal level. CENTURY 21 Gold Medal Realty, CENTURY 21 dwellings, CENTURY 21 Clickit, and Clickit Realty are companies Chris owned and operated in the Atlanta Metro Area.
Although Chris loved the Atlanta area and his lifelong friends, South Florida continued to call to him until he settled in Wilton Manors, FL, and began a new staff recruiting career. While living in Florida, Chris became a staple in the community volunteering his time with those less fortunate, lending a hand to the Unity Church as Treasurer and making himself available to his family and countless friends. As a generous soul, people were drawn to him, and he helped better those around him.
His love of travel and adventures remained strong and he spent the majority of his time between Florida, Charleston and Atlanta. Although you may not know which area he was in, all you had to do was reach out if you needed him, he would be there for you.
He leaves behind his mother, Charlotte Ballard, his sister, Delayne "Layne" Cranford (Brad), and brother Michael Ballard (Louise), five nephews, a new niece by marriage and countless lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, Chris would support a donation in his honor to https://outofthecloset.org/donate/.
