Charles Edward "Eddie" Taylor, age 76, of Covington died June 17, 2022. Born in Atlanta to Edward and Frances Taylor, he grew up in Lithonia and was a graduate of Lithonia High School, class of '64. Eddie worked for AT&T in the quality control department for forty years before retirement. He enjoyed camping; going to GA Bulldogs football games; his corvette; and especially spending time with his grandsons. He and his wife, Elaine, attended Milstead Baptist Church for many years. Eddie was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Taylor; and parents. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Elaine Taylor; son-in-law, Mike Taylor of McDonough; and grandsons, Michael Taylor, and Logan Taylor. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Monday, June 20, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at 'aspca.org'.
