Obituary

Charles Gregory Chupp, age 64, of Conyers, died February 25, 2022. He was a graduate of Rockdale County High School and later attended DeKalb College. Greg was a painter by trade and owned a paint and home remodeling company for over 20 years. He provided all those he worked for - both customer and family alike - with quality workmanship as he took pride in leaving his craftsman's touch on every job he took on. Not only did Charles (or "Greg" as many in his family knew him) specialize in woodworking, but he had a keen eye for aesthetics in making people's houses into homes. Charles was a protective, playful and caring brother in his young life which transferred into his strength and loving qualities as a father who would do anything for his children. In his free time, he liked all things outdoors (bird watching, gardening, fishing and hunting), he also enjoyed watching football, baseball, and westerns on tv; he was a natural at shooting pool and enjoyed listening to classic rock and later in life, Christian music. Charles' children remember him as an encourager, a softball coach, the most dedicated worker and provider for their family, and a father who would settle for nothing than the best for those he loved. His circle was small, but vital to his presence in this world. Charles was strong-willed, genuine, intuitive, and lived a vibrant life that was unrivaled to most in depth and spirituality. He would reveal in retelling life stories and experiences that some could only dream of. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Andrew Chupp. Surviving are his daughter, Nicole Chupp of Oxford; sons, Zachary Chupp and Caleb Chupp, both of Evans, Georgia; mother, Annette Fields Chupp of Conyers; step-mother, Charldene Chupp; step-daughter, Gabrielle Lamarre; granddaughter, Isabella Chupp; god-daughters Kayla Mossman, and Jordan Mossman; sisters, Gina Bogle and her husband, Mike, of Conyers; Linda Alliston of Covington; Brenda Chupp of Conyers; and brother, Jerry Chupp and his wife, Diane, of Newborn; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, March 19, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Chupp officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any gifts be donated in Charles' honor and memory to the Brain Injury Association of America located at https://www.biausa.org/ .
