Obituary

It is with great sadness, that we have to share with you that Charles Edward Burnette has passed away, on Friday, February 17th, around 9:45pm, at Newton Piedmont. Born April 30, 1962, (Roanoke, Va. Memorial Hospital). He was 60 Years old. This is devastating and unexpected. He will be greatly missed by many. He was given a nickname, by nieces and nephews, "Boy." Charles, "Boy", was one of the dearest souls, you would ever want to meet. He always kept to himself. He never bothered anyone or asked for anything, but was always such an out-going, fun-loving, selfless, kind-hearted, infectious soul to be around! Someone who would make you laugh, but always showed you he really cared about you! And it was genuine! Charles grew up around the College Park area, loved playing softball and football. He graduated from Riverdale High School. Charles was on the swim team. After graduation he studied business, Real Estate investing, and sales. Charles loved football, basketball, and tennis. He loved movies and music, and could talk for hours about it. Charles loved and cared for his precious Mom. He tried to care for everyone he met. His personality was giving, and making someone smile. Charles never met a stranger, and he invested his time in people. He lived in the high rise, near the square, in Covington, Ga. You've probably saw him many times. He was very active in helping in the community around him. No pre-thoughts, he was always a blessing to whomever he met. He left a huge fingerprint and exampled a GODly lifestyle by being considerate and thoughtful to give words of encouragement, and try to help whomever he could, always. Charles gave his life to JESUS, and it's not goodbye, but goodbye for now. Charles Edward Burnette is survived by his mother, Patricia Kay (Counts) Burnette, brother and sister-in-law, David W. and Beverly Burnette, nieces and nephews: Joseph Burnette, Sarah Burnette, Lydia (Tim) Antonion, John Burnette, Grace Burnette, James Burnette, and Faith Burnette, great niece Alaina Antonion. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Buford Burnette.
