Calvin "Mike" Daniel, age 59, of Covington, died on October 20, 2016. Mike was a loving father, grandfather, and son who enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed coaching his children's baseball, softball, and football teams. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Sawyer Daniel, and brother, Thomas Daniel. Surviving are his daughters, Shannon Daniel of Monroe, and Wendi Phillips and her husband, Phil, of Covington; sons, Ryan Daniel and his wife, Natalie, of Covington, and Bryan Daniel and his wife, Jesse, of Conyers; mother, Dorothy Daniel of Covington; sisters, Jean Bond of Covington and Lisa Daniel of Covington; brother, Tim Daniel of Covington; grandchildren, Keith Womack of Covington, Landrea Bishop of Monroe, Rylan Daniel of Conyers, Landon Bishop of Monroe, Whitney Burley of Covington, Damian Stapp of Monroe, and Michael Daniel, Jr. of Covington; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock on Sunday, October 23, at Eastridge Community Church, 863 Hwy 142 E, Covington with Preacher Gary Thompson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025.
