Burl Vernon Broadnax, age 69, of Rockdale County, GA, passed away on November 19, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1953, to E.V. "Cotton" and Annie Mae Broadnax of Conyers, GA. Vernon graduated from Rockdale County High School in 1971. He then went on to become a pipefitter, where he opened his own business, Vernon Broadnax, Inc. which he owned and operated for 50 years. Vernon had a passion for hunting and fishing, as he loved to be in the great outdoors. He was known for his fierce love for others, the willingness to help, and being a loyal friend to all that he cared for. Vernon was preceded in death by his father and mother, and his younger brother, Junior Broadnax. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lucinda Broadnax of Snellville, GA, his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Jeremy Dobbs of Jackson, GA., his son, Robert Broadnax of Steamboat Springs, CO., daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Tyson Green of Rutledge, GA, and daughter, Bailey Culverson of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Devin and Brianna Keith, Talon, Addison and Easton Green; great grandchildren, Laiken and Mazzie Keith; lastly, his brother and sister-in-law, David and Kathy Broadnax; nephews and niece, Kevin, Lindsey and Curtis Broadnax. A visitation for Vernon will be held 6:00-8:00, Tuesday evening, November 29th at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia. The family requests no flowers.
