Brenda Joyce Romero, resident of Conyers, Georgia, died January 26, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born into the Robinson family on October 21, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Brenda dedicated a significant portion of her life to her employment with K-Mart and as a bus monitor for Rockdale County School System, where she made a meaningful impact in the lives of countless children.
In addition, Brenda had a wealth of interests and hobbies that brought her joy. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed the excitement of trips to the casino. Her creativity and generous spirit were exemplified in her love for crafting and gifting her creations to others. Family was of paramount importance to Brenda. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embracing every opportunity to be involved in their lives and celebrate their achievements.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Herman and Ruby Robinson; beloved husband, Lorenzo Romero; daughter, Pamela Carter; and grandson, Darrin Carter.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michele Holbrook, Johnny Gilbert (Valaerie), Howard Robinson, John Romero (Kris), Tim Romero; sisters, Fayne Holbrook, Sheila Carter; grandchildren, Dereck Gilbert, Victor Chaney, Katesha Chaney, Mateo Gilbert, Deedee Carter, Kayla Robinson, Kirstin Robinson, Carla Chandler; great-grandchildren, Andy, Ryan, Kayleigh, Austin, Adalyn, CJ, Gunner, Hailey, Millie, Layla, Kassie, Autumn, MJ, DJ, Jayden, Jaycee, Sean, Dylan, Hayden; great-great grandchildren, Kason, Remington; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service honoring Brenda's life will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, February 7, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church St, Lithonia, GA 30058. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday, from 1-2 PM.
Brenda's warm spirit and caring heart will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
