Brenda Jean Leftwich Hall, age 77, died March 23, 2020, at her home in Conyers. Born November 19, 1942, in Lithonia, Georgia to Raymond Lamar (RL) and Ollie Mae Leftwich, and attended Lithonia High School. She then married John Wesley Hall, Sr. on June 14, 1958, and as housewife and mother, traveled the world with the love of her life while he served his country in the U.S. Air Force until 1974. After his retirement, they moved to Conyers, where Brenda worked for Alexander Underwriters as the Mail Room Supervisor for over 20 years until they closed. She loved bowling with her husband, playing pinochle with other couples on the weekend, and going to the casino with her husband, (she loved to see those red 7's !) Brenda loved raising her children and was the very definition of a Southern Christian Lady. She was always there with a kind word or a helping hand to anyone who needed it and always leading her life as an example of how we should love and treat others. She inspired those around her to be a better version of themselves, simply by being who she was. Brenda loved having a houseful of family around her all the time and could tame the roughest of us simply with a disapproving glance. She was mother to some, Aunt Brenda to many and Maw Maw to everyone. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, RL and Ollie Mae Leftwich; and husband, J.W. Hall. Surviving are her children, John Wesley Hall, Jr. and his wife, Stacia, of Mansfield, Leila Ann Stout and her husband, Gary, of Conyers, Michael David Hall of Conyers, and Brian Turner of Conyers; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Due to the current COVID-19 China Virus pandemic recommendations, the family regrets that the service must be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brenda's memory to her favorite charity, Scottish Rite Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
