Boyd Hampton, age 80, of Conyers, died December 18, 2020. He retired from Hormel Food Industry after over 32 years of faithful service, was a member of Philogia Mason Lodge # 178 F.&A.M. in Conyers and attended Hopewell ARP Church in Covington. Boyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the race track, and eating at the Waffle House with his friends, where he was known as "Troubles". He was preceded in death by his wife, of 55 years, Rebecca; brothers, Richard, Billy and Walter; and sister, Pauline. Surviving are his sons, Tommy Hampton and his wife, Donna, of Monticello, Rodney Hampton and his wife, Trish, of Madison and Greg Hampton of Conyers; brother, Kenneth Hampton of Hammond, Louisiana; grandchildren, Daniel, Brittany, Ashley, Jesse, Blake, Tyler, Kryssa, and Dylan; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, December 20, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Elder James Blackshear officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell ARP Church, Covington, GA. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
