Bobby C. Whitt, age 60, of Conyers, died December 18, 2015. Born in Elliot County, Kentucky and attended Sandy Hook High School in the graduating class of 1973. From there he met and married Sharon Johnson in 1974 and they had a son who brought us to be one family. Bobby Allen. Years after they had divorced, Bobby moved to the east suburbs of Atlanta in 1986, and finally settled into being an iron worker. He worked before that for Pleasant Living Heating & Air and then many years at Wilson Welding. When he left Wilson Welding, it was for South Eastern Iron Workers Local #387 and more specifically Atlanta Steel Erectors where he worked for over 10 years eventually as a valued foreman. It was during this time in 2005 he met and later married, Jamie Hodge. Bobby took great pride in his work, loved his family, friends and growing up a friend & classmate of the late country singer, Keith Whitley cultivated a love for music that endured throughout his life. Family, friends and music summed up the best things in life to Bobby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge Richard and Lola Holbrook Whitt. He is survived by his wife, Jamie of Conyers; son, Bobby Allen and Jasmine Gutierrez, grandson, Rylan and granddaughter due in March 2016 of Mt. Juliet, TN: Sharon Whitt and Paul Stevens; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Kay and Junior Hall, their children Kyla and Larry Moore and children, Jennifer and Tommy Lewis and children; brother and sister-in-law Billy Richard and Janet Whitt, their children Raina and David Gillium and children, Robin and Kevin Griffith and children, Kris and Sara Whitt and children, all of Elliott County Kentucky; brother-in-law Mike and Allison Hodge of Conyers, their children Danielle and Samantha Hodge of Oxford, GA; brother-in-law Steve Hodge of Monroe, GA; and many very special friends.
