Bobby Joe Payne, age 66, of Lithonia, died April 20, 2014. He was a 1965 graduate of Lithonia High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by wife, Yvonne; parents, Joe and Willie Mae Payne; brother, Eddie Payne. Surviving are daughter, Carmen Calloway-Bates of Birmingham, AL; sons, Geoffrey Payne of Monroe, and Johnny Payne of Griffin; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Thursday, April 24, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to help cover his final expenses.
