Service: 3 o'clock, Sunday, October 28, 2018 Place: Water Oak Baptist Church, Conyers Betty Jane New, age 72, of Conyers, died Friday, October 26, 2018. She was born in Atlanta to Charlie Mercer New and Alla Mae New. Betty Jane enjoyed crocheting and cooking meals for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Aaron New; and sister, Marie New Putnam. Surviving are her sisters, Judy New of Conyers and Becky Jones of Canton, NC; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, October, 28, at Water Oak Baptist Church, 1990 Carr Road NE, Conyers, GA 30012 with Rev. Freddy Spry officiating.
