Betty Jane Mitchell, age 84, of Loganville, died July 5, 2014. She retired from Sears. She was preceded in death by husband, Thurmon Travis Mitchell; son, Paul Hollis; sisters, Nona Herrmon and Nolla Head; and brother, Richard Pruitt. She is survived by daughters, Linda Stowe, Connie Mulkey and husband, Gary; sons, Jessie Summers and Travis Mitchell and wife, Stacey; grandchildren, David Stowe, Angie Fuller, Ronda Gissendaner, Darrell Stowe, Lisa Gissendaner, Dena Stahl, Sarah Jane Summers, Jessica 'Katie' Summers, Kimberly Mitchell, and Kristen Mitchell; sisters, Lillian Whitmore, Jeanette Payne and Susie Scarbourgh; brother, Joe Pruitt; 12 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Daniel Gissendaner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia, 770 482-4411
