Service: 2 o'clock, Friday, November 17, 2017 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: One hour prior to service Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Betty Sue Bentley Howell, born August 20, 1939, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, I.V. and Betty Bentley and her only sister, Linda Scott, and survived by her brother, Joey Bentley. Betty Sue was a resident Covington, GA and a native of Stone Mountain, GA. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ernest Howell. She is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Vann Howell, Sam Howell, Steve Howell, Marc and Lisa Howell, and David and Nikki Howell. Betty Sue had eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and she was loved dearly by all of them. She spent her life caring for her family, raising five boys, attending every ballgame and school function, and later taking her grandchildren shopping, to the movies, and wherever they wanted to go. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be dearly missed by all. A memorial service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday afternoon, November 17, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Nelson Goddard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be make in her memory to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta @ Egleston.
