Service: 2 o'clock, Monday, March 5, 2018 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: 4-7pm, Sunday Afternoon, March 4, 2018 Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Barbara Ann New, age 83, of Covington, formerly of Lithonia, died Friday, March 2, 2018. She was a long time member of Turner Hill Baptist Church, enjoyed singing and for many years would sing weekly with a group for the residents of a nearby nursing home. Barbara loved flower gardening, cooking and was known for her beautiful smile. A loving wife and mother, she is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Charles; sons, Jerry New of Covington and Alan New and his wife, Terry, of Milton, and their families; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Monday, March 5, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Lanny Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-7, Sunday afternoon at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
