She could sew beautifully and made a lot clothes for my sister and me! She sent me clothes while Mike was in pharmacy school at UGA to save us money. She had a knack for crafts and enjoyed making very nice ornaments for us at Christmas and other holidays. She loved making Winnie the Pooh bears for all of her grandchildren. Most of all my Mom taught me to love God and spread the gospel wherever God took me. Our home was open to all of our friends, missionaries, and others who were visitors to our church. I will be forever grateful that she gave me a verse from the Bible during a difficult time for me as a teenager which became my life's verse: Roman 8:28. I has no idea how much that verse would be used by God as a theme for my life and a comfort to me that He was using all of things, both the good and the bad, for His purposes. I will be forever grateful to my precious Mom who taught me to memorize Scriptures that would bring wisdom to my walk with the Lord. She was an example of a godly woman who I wanted to be half the woman and mother that she was to me. I love you Mom!"
