Louise Swann, age 90, of Conyers, Georgia, died June 9, 2025. Born Annie Louise Rutledge on June 2, 1935, she was a woman of strong faith with a compassionate heart. For most of her career, she was employed as a hairdresser at Marilyn's Magic Mirror. Her thoughtful nature led her to a second career at Abbey Hospice, where she served many years providing care and comfort to countless families. Louise enjoyed going on cruises, playing games with her family, and completing word searches. She loved being outside in the sunshine and was known for her wonderful cooking. Her deep and enduring faith was evident in her longtime membership at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Conyers. There, she shared her loving spirit by volunteering in the nursery and during Vacation Bible School. Additionally, she was an active member of the Walking Club at the Benton House. Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 1/2 years, James Mack Swann; her parents Lloyd & Annie Rutledge; siblings, Jack Rutledge, B.T. Rutledge, Mary Mitchell, Inez Smith; and son-in-law, Gary Kimm. Survivors include her six children and their spouses, Lynn Teems (Britt), Lynda Kimm, Brenda Merrifield (Steve), Danny Swann (Mary Ellen), Kimberly Ingalls (Kevin), Jimmy Swann (Amanda); 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several great-great- grandchildren; siblings, Theresa Williamson, LC Rutledge, Wayne Rutledge (Sheila); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service to honor Louise's life will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1233 Pleasant Hill Rd. NW, Conyers, with Rev. Scott Richardson officiating and interment following in the church cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4-7 PM, at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia.
