Louise Burke, age 85, of Loganville, died September 17, 2024. Born on March 23, 1939, she was known for her patient and kind nature. For many years Louise worked as a paraprofessional at Stone Mountain Elementary where her love for guiding young minds was evident. She was an insightful teacher who had the ability to establish rapport with her beloved students through her warm smile and sweet laugh. An avid reader, Louise also loved visiting the mountains, and while she was able, she enjoyed dancing. Additionally, she was a dedicated member of New Testament Baptist Church in Loganville. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Robert Franklin "Bob" Burke, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Frank & Krystal Tucker; granddaughter, Natalie Nixon; dear friends, Brenda Bodkin, Jackie Reid, Sara Morgan; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. A graveside service will be held 2 o'clock, Monday, September 23, at Hill Haven Memory Gardens, 490 Edmondson Rd Monroe, GA 30656. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, September 22, from 2-4 PM at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, GA 30058.
