Ann Short Coffey, age 89, of Lithonia, passed into Heaven, January 3, 2020. She graduated from Lithonia High School class of 1947, attended Brenau University and worked for many years for Gold Kist Research as a lab technician. Ann was a member of Lithonia First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Lauren G. Coffey, and great grandson, Ryder Lauren Picton. Surviving are her son, David L. Coffey; daughter, Laura C. Harless; granddaughters, Rachel Harner (Daniel) and Lesley Goodman; great grandchildren, Jackson Goodman and Moses Harner. Her granddaughters and great grandchildren brought her great joy! A graveside service will be held 12 o'clock, Saturday, January 11 at Hillandale Memorial Park, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 to 11:45 at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia. In the case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home. The family requests that you dress casually.
