Alex D. "Boone" Conner, age 67, of Watkinsville, died January 30, 2017. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. Boone was known for his big, kind heart and enjoyed fishing and hunting. A loving brother and friend, he will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee and Eris Mae Conner, and his sister, Nora Bowman. Surviving are sisters, Barbara Teran of Stone Mountain, Sherry Hawk and her husband, Tommy, of Bostwick, Brenda Arnold and her husband, Mike, of Rutledge, Joyce Coltrain and her companion, Michael Eaton, of Roper, NC; brother in law, Roy Bowman of Watkinsville; several nieces and nephews.
