Albert Lee Rawlins, age 85, of Stockbridge, died February 12, 2021. He enjoyed working in his garden, going to his place on the lake, and playing Bingo. But most of all, Albert loved being with his wife who he loved dearly and being a father. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia K. Rawlins; parents, Earnest and Henry Ward Rawlins; and brother, E. W. Rawlins, Jr. Surviving are his children John Harrison of College Park and Linda Thompson and her husband, Philip, of Stockbridge; sisters, Carolyn Mason and her husband Rev. Andy Mason of Oxford and Beverly Jo Beasley and her husband, Ivan, of Okeechobee, FL; granddaughters, Georgia Love of Stockbridge and Vinae Harrison of McDonough; great grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Lindsey and Sterling; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, February 21, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Lenora Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Due to the Covid pandemic, guests are to wear masks and practice social distancing.
