Alan William Howard, 53, of Loganville, passed away on April 11, 2026. He was born May 16, 1972, in Decatur, Georgia, to Edward Clay Howard and Vivian Foley Howard, the youngest of their children. Alan proudly served in the U.S. Navy and worked in healthcare purchasing. He was an avid fan of Star Wars, superheroes, and NASCAR, and had a strong passion for sports. He especially enjoyed following the Georgia Bulldogs and rarely missed a chance to watch or attend a game. Above all, Alan valued his role as a father and loved his daughters deeply.
Preceding him in death were his mother; brother, Jay Howard; uncle, Phillip Foley; maternal grandparents, Pete and Ann Foley; paternal grandparents, Clay and Louise Howard.
Survivors include his beloved daughters, Sarah Gilliam (Zack), Megan Howard; father, Ed Howard; sisters, Dori Howard, Stephanie Howard; best friends, David Corbin, Greg Jones; several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
A memorial service in Alan's remembrance will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, April 18, 2026, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home, from 1-2 PM. To honor Alan, the family requests that those attending dress casually and in their favorite sports attire.
